SACAT Application

Under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1993 (SA), the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) is empowered to make guardianship and administration orders for a person who has a mental incapacity. We are able to assist you with your SACAT Application. We have helped many clients gain guardianship orders from the Tribunal for Administrative and Guardianship Orders. Administrative Orders permitted an applicant to make decision about a person’s financial affairs. This also allows them power to manage the person’s money, legal and business affairs due to the person mental incapacity. Guardianship Orders permitted an applicant to make decision regarding a person’s accommodation, lifestyle and health. To have either of these Orders made the SACAT must find that the person suffers from mental incapacity and there is a need for an order to be made. In some cases we are also able to apply for Special Powers which permits the applicant to use reasonable force to ensure appropriate medical or dental treatment decisions, and other decisions about care and wellbeing, are brought into effect . To make an SACAT application for Administrative and Guardianship Orders you need supporting documents. For further information please contact our office.
